Why does AsiaPay support The Library Project and rural education?

Founded in 2006, The Library Project has been dedicated to improving children's literacy and providing teacher's education resources to under-financed rural primary schools and orphanages in Asia. We believe education brings changes and the change could start from a book.

In the past decade, The Library Project has established over 1,900 primary school libraries. More than 1,400,000 local language children's books have been brought to those eager young readers' hands. Over 700,000 children now have access to improved educational infrastructure.

Currently, The Library Project has an amazing team of full-time staff located in Cambodia, China and Vietnam. In addition to book donation, The Library Project also provides librarian training course for teachers, and conducts a comprehensive post-assessment after each library is set up to ensure the long-term sustainability of those libraries and their frequent use. This helps AsiaPay to keep track of the libraries' using conditions as well as the impacts on children.
